MyDD :: First Time...

First Time...

This is not my first time over at MyDD. I have visited a few times before, but today was the day I decided to register and see what it was like on a liberal or progressive blog. Everyone keeps telling me that I am not representative of the Democratic Party. I find that hard to believe. I was a Democrat in the womb. So, I decided to see what is what by visiting here.

We'll see how it goes.

Ted Kennedy or Evan Bayh? Who's representative of MyDD? v2aggie2 or goplies? Beats me.

I think I am representative of what the Democratic Party should be--wow that sounds arrogant--but I like what the Democratic Party stands for. I don't like that we defend bad choices by wierd people to defend a higher principle. I think it makes us look stupid and immoral and wierd.

Ted Kennedy is a good senator--bad voice for the party. Evan is good senator--also a bad voice for the party. Joe Biden is a good voice for the party.

Let the onslaught begin.

There's always room at the table. MyDD is a little more relaxed than some of the other sites. Folks try to take their time and think a bit before responding or posting. It makes for a more enjoyable time.

Right now we are looking at the local blog scene and how we can improve upon it, amongst other things.

Hey man welcome from me too cause im new here too. Gawd i cant get anything done takes me forver to type stuff but if everybody can put up with me then should be lot of fun.should have learnd this shit type long ago.Why they make the keys QWER when it should have been ABCD CRAP.

I have some ideas on the local blog scene. I think we need to do way better using the internet and blogs as a tool. I think they need to be made part of our entire media plan, not just an afterthought. I think we need to be as coordinated as the conservative movement which is tough becuse we are no where near as united in our beliefs.I think we need our own place like Townhall.com with columnists who write from our perspective--but I want those columnists to be normal people. I don't want Maureen Dowd or women who are estrogen challenged and think it is normal to have a husband and a live in lesbian lover. I want people who will connect with normal people. I want people who have blogs that deal with other things--like gardening or motherhood or whatever to start a political page and I want them to comment on and link to stories that the party feels are important and I want them to talk about why they support or oppose the position from a normal persons point of view. And I want the level of debate to not sink to the comments on the daily Kos.
